Summit additions to Recertification Portal after 2019 9 S. Spohn I did find it but I typically have to go searching every time. Just click on "My Profile" then scroll to the very bottom. I got sick of searching every time and finally bookmarked it. Here is the link: https://www.iaap-hq.org/page/mycertview

My Why 6 R. Miller Thank you all! I took the practice exam just to get a feel for the format and get a base knowledge of where I should spend some extra time studying. Going in to it I already knew accounting, HR, and event planning would be areas to address as my company has their own departments for that, so I've never had to do a lot with it. While I felt very comfortable with the questions and confident in my answers, I did not pass. Although I didn't pass, I feel like my percentages weren't horrible; I did not take it to heart and took the results as a base on where I'll be applying extra study time. Just keep moving and look forward to taking the treat in March. :)

My Journey 3 N. Gorham I love that you included your boys into your 'why' - and showing them that dreams and goals are attainable, no matter when you decide to go for it! My boys were a big part of my 'why', too! I have no doubt you'll do well. Best of luck to you!

My Why? 4 L. Lindberg Best wishes to you, Laura. I was 59 when I went on the CAP journey and did it to challenge myself after being in the Admin Prof field for many years. I registered for Marie Herman's Study Group and dedicated hours to studying for the exam. I was nervous and doubted myself, but with the help of others in this amazing organization and my co-workers, I passed! I was so excited and to this day, I still feel the 'accomplishment' of my goal. Best wishes to you and if you need any help or support, reach out to me. Happy Holidays! Donna

My WHY and the change 0 A. Wilson My original journey began as an attempt to receive an educational incentive on my job. After being told I could not receive an educational incentive based on educational accomplishments, I searched for certification programs for administrative personnel and found the CAP several years ago. After reviewing the information for this certification, I realized this program was a "validation" for administrative professionals. This is a way to show others, we know what we know. At the point, my thoughts changed from getting a certification to increase my pay to getting THIS certification that shows others how good we are at what I do. The CAP designation shows just how essential administrative professionals are in all career fields and at all levels.

4th Edition Study Guide 4 N. Gorham There's a lot of information that you need to synthesize for this exam, and Marie doesn't a fantastic job of organizing it for you.  I would have been completely lost without her help!

Fall 2022 Cap Exam 23 M. Webster Myself and a coworker discovered that we can see our raw score in webassessor. How confident can we feel in those results? For example, if my raw score was 92% could I confidently feel that I passed?

Recertification 0 B. Friend Good day to you all. My name is Tracey Kirkland, Certification Specialist for IAAP. It has been brought to my attention some members are in need of Summit Recertification Forms. I am attaching forms for Virtual Summit 2021 and 2022 as well as Summit in-person 2022. I hope you find them helpful. For those of you who may be wondering about Virtual Summits 2019 or 2020, they should be added already to your portal. This was done as a courtesy during Covid to make things a little easier for our valued members. Thanks for your attention and please reach out to certification@iaap-hq.org if you need assistance with anything. Take care. Tracey
